Meet our founder

Bri Farrow

Founder / Principle Speech Pathologist
MsSpPath, CPSP.

Bri is an experienced speech pathologist with a passion for supporting people of all backgrounds to achieve their communication and swallowing goals. Since completing an undergraduate degree in Linguistics and a Master of Speech Pathology, she has gained experience working with adults and adolescents across a range of conditions and settings. Some of the conditions Bri often works with are Stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Traumatic Brain Injury, Dementia, Stuttering and Autism.

With a strong commitment to evidence-based practise and ongoing professional development, and with a determination to translate this into holistic and functional health care, Bri approaches all aspects of service delivery through the lens of an individual’s unique personal context – their background, experiences, challenges, environment, community, and dreams. She creates a welcoming, positive, and safe environment that celebrates authenticity and embraces diversity.

When Bri is not wearing her speech pathologist hat, she is usually out and about enjoying the natural surrounds of the Ballina, Lismore, and Byron Bay areas. She loves to stay active; bushwalking to local waterfalls, reading by the river in Brunswick Heads, doing the lighthouse walk in Byron Bay, surfing at one of the many stunning beaches or swimming at the tea tree lake in Lennox Head.

Bri has completed professional development courses in the following areas:

  • SPEAKOUT! Licensed Provider Training – Parkinson’s Voice Project
  • Adult and Adolescent Stuttering – Speech Pathology Australia
  • Intensive Course in Dysphagia Diagnosis & Treatment – The Rose Centre for Stroke Recovery and Research
  • Accidental Counsellor – Lifeline & Speech Pathology Australia
  • Neuro – affirming Practice for Speech Pathologists – Empower the Difference
  • Diploma of Counselling – Currently studying.
